Slovenian Bible

Take your part in the fascinating story of Slovenian Bible

Some history

For almost 500 years the Bible has played an important role in Slovenian culture and history. Jurij Dalmatin presented his translation in 1584. From then there were 6 different translations of the whole Bible, that helped us to live and share our faith.
Our work is not done yet.
We need your help!

How does slovenian Bible sound like?

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
In glejte: jaz sem z vami vse dni do konca sveta. Matthew 28:20

Who we are?

In Slovenian Bible Society we are constantly searching for new ways to share Bible message in slovenian language. Projects, events and other services are open for groups and individuals helping them to read the Bible regularly.

Our projects

We are working hard to promote Bible reading among Slovenians.
Our path is directed to the Digital Areopagus, promoting Bible exposure and engagement through New Media.
Not only that: our Everyday Bible Mission aims to promote Bible reading in Catholic parishes and groups.
Every year we organize Bible Reading Marathon, a week-long event for reading the Word all over Slovenia.
These are just 3 of our projects.
They all have two things in common.
Bible Engagement and lack of resources.
So, they need your help!
